Volunteer Opportunities
As part of the contractual agreement with the school, each family promises to perform at least 15 hours of service for the benefit of the school or pay for unserved hours. There are countless opportunities throughout the year to obtain these service hours. Anyone who wishes to volunteer in a capacity that involves any students will need to fulfill the diocesan-mandated training requirements for the "Safe Environment". A sampling of volunteer opportunities includes:
- Coaching a St. Henry sponsored sports team
- Attending the monthly Home & School Association meeting
- Chaperoning a class field trip
- Volunteering to help your child's teacher in the classroom or with special projects
- Monthly clean-up around the school and parish grounds
- Serving as a playground supervisor during lunch recess
- Volunteering to sort monthly Market Day orders
- Coordinating or helping with various HASA-sponsored events or fundraisers
