What's Happening
Which Water Works?
How Do Tornadoes Form?
How Does an Airplane Fly?
These are just a sampling of the questions that were asked and answered at the St. Henry Science Fair on Tuesday, May 15. Students in Grades 3-8 were given the opportunity to participate in the Science Fair. Twelve projects were displayed with 20 students participating. The students worked over the past month researching their topics, making hypotheses, conducting experiments, and then presenting their results and conclusions. A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Stramara for coordinating the event, and to Mr. Novenski and Miss Fortlage for serving as our judges!!
In case you're wondering...when it comes to growing bentgrass, it makes no difference whether you use rain water, tap water, or bottled water according to the scientific research!
Popcorn & Poetry
St. Henry students and guests enjoyed an afternoon of Poetry & Popcorn on Monday, May 14. Every student chose a poem to read in front of their class during the previous week, and then teachers selected a few students from each grade to share their poems with the entire school. The audience enjoyed bags of popcorn while listening to poems that ranged from serious to silly. Read more to see the full image gallery.
